Job Summary
  • The Security Manager is directly responsible for defining and reviewing the Security Management System (SMS) for the Project. This includes ensuring Contractors' Security Management Systems are maintained and audited, with gaps clearly identified and mitigated during the project development. The role will proactively use security reporting indices to prevent incidents and high-potential incidents on the project. The Security Manager will assist the Project team in the organization, implementation, and audit of Security Management System procedures related to the Project.


General Duties
  • Lead the definition and implementation of an effective Security policy – covering the protection of personnel, care for the environment, and preservation of installations – and related reference system.
    Manage all Security personnel (Company, Contractors, and Government Security  within the Package to achieve the Project's desired Security objectives.
    Guarantee the application, in compliance with regulations, reference documents, and best practices, of the Security policy in the activities (construction/commissioning/start-up).
    Develop, communicate, and maintain project-specific security procedures and work instructions to be applied by all personnel, including contractors' personnel and GSF.
    Champion the training and preparedness of security personnel (Company, Contractor, and Government Security Forces-GSF), ensuring adequate attention is drawn to any lack of compliance.
    Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the Security Management System and promote a safer and more sustainable working environment.
    Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Project Manager.


Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, or a related field at a minimum.
    Minimum of 7 years of experience in Security Management (in a similar position) within the Oil & Gas industry.
    Strong Leadership and Management Skills.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Proficient in Security Management software.
    Must demonstrate the ability to act independently as part of a team.
