The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing and managing the company's cost structure, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
General Duties
Collect and analyze data about the company's operational costs.
Prepare cost analyses and reports for management.
Develop and maintain the cost accounting system.
Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for cost improvement.
Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
Monitor cost performance against budget and forecast.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to develop cost-saving strategies
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., ACA, ICAN) is preferred.
Over 8 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices, and standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
