Credit Analyst For A Fintech Organization

Job Summary
  • A leading player in the Other Financial Institution in Lagos state requires the service of credit analyst.


General Duties
    • Assess the creditworthiness of clients.
    • Evaluate clients’ credit applications, financial documents, records and credit history to determine their credit worthiness.
    • Prepare ratio, trend, cash flows analyses, and create projections based on historical data.
    • Analyze credit applications and make recommendations to management for approvals.
    • Prepare credit appraisal memorandum in respect of applications for the consideration of Approval.
    • Follow up on credit requests to ensure approvals are obtained within approved timeline set by management
    • Attend meetings with Relationship Officers to structure appropriate facilities for customers.
    • Monitor risk asset portfolio and ensure adherence to regulatory standard.
    • Prepare and submit credit reports to management and regulators in timely manner.
    • Adhere to credit policy and guidelines of the company.
    • Perform any other function that may be assigned by the Head, Credit Department, Management and Board
    • Achieve agreed financials targets (assets and liabilities generation) on a monthly basis.

    • Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects with less supervision.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong math aptitude, organizational and analytical skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills coupled with pragmatism and common sense
    • Decision oriented with the ability to support with sound reasoning and logic
    • Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts
    • Computer literate; fluency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Experience with use of credit administration or other banking application software

Salary
  • 300,000
