Accountant

A leading player in the Other Financial Institution in Lagos requires the service of an Accountant. 

1. Preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements.
2. Reconciliation of the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers·    
3. Keep record of company’s fixed Assets and maintain fixed assets register.
4. Filing and remitting taxes and the other financial obligations
5. Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs and procedures.
6. Assist with budgets preparation and review
7. Manage company’s ledgers and accounting records.
8. Manage day-to-day financial transactions.
9. Monitor business expenses in line with the approved budget
10. Monitor petty cash and reconciling records
11. Analyze financial performance.
12. Achieving personal financial targets as advised by management.
13. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.

1. Minimum of 4+years’ experience in a financial role in the financial sector.
2. Professional Membership: The candidate must have the ICAN or ACCA recognized professional qualification
3. Good knowledge of I.F.R.S and current tax laws are mandatory.
4. Good Knowledge of MS Excel & relevant accounting software.
5. Minimum of first degree or its equivalent in numerate or semi-numerate disciplines such as Accounting Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Banking, Finance, Insurance, and Business Studies.
