Job Summary
  • The Retail & SME Banking Specialist (Religions) will be responsible for developing and managing banking relationships with religious communities, including places of worship, religious organizations, and SMEs owned or operated by individuals from these communities. The role involves providing tailored financial products and services that meet the specific needs of these clients, promoting financial literacy, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards.

    LOCATION: Lagos, Abuja, PH, Benin city, Calabar


General Duties
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with religious communities, including churches, mosques, temples, and other religious organizations.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for these clients, understanding their unique financial needs and challenges.
    • Collaborate with product development teams to design and offer financial products and services tailored to the needs of religious communities and SMEs.
    • Ensure that products comply with ethical and religious guidelines where applicable (e.g., Sharia-compliant banking products).
    •  Identify and pursue new business opportunities within religious communities and SMEs.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and grow the client base.
    • Organize and conduct financial literacy workshops and seminars for religious communities.
    • Provide guidance and support to help clients understand and utilize banking products effectively.

Skills
    • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline in a recognised university. A postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification would be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail banking, SME banking, or financial services.
    • Experience working with religious communities or similar niche markets is highly desirable.
    • Good understanding of economic trends and implications on the banking/finance sector
    • Strong understanding of banking products and services tailored to SMEs and retail clients.
    • Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
    • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend community events.
