Supervisor Train Station

The Locomotive Train Station Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the locomotive train station to ensure efficient and safe movement of trains and personnel. The successful candidate will supervise a team of employees and work collaboratively with other departments to achieve operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe, efficient and timely movement of trains in and out of the station.
• Oversee the work of the train station staff to ensure compliance with safety regulations and established procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments such as engineering, maintenance, and dispatch to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records of train schedules, arrivals and departures.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of train station staff.
• Respond to operational issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the human resources department to develop training plans for new employees.
• Ensure that the station is clean, organized and presentable to the public.
• Implement safety programs and measures to ensure the safety of all personnel working at the station

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an OND in any relevant field.
• Previous supervisory experience in a related field would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of train station operations, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
