Job Summary
  • The project Control engineer (Planning & Scheduling) will prepare the detailed project execution plans and schedule based on widely accepted engineering practices and derive reports on different management hierarchal levels. The candidate is expected to support the project management team in achieving the project plans and schedule.
     


General Duties
  • •Develop and define project goals and objectives.

    •Develop an activity list for new projects.

    •Monitor and analyze project effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative tools.

    •Recommend and implement modifications to improve effectiveness and attain project milestones.

    •Plan, coordinate, and monitor activities of assigned projects to develop and implement procedures, processes, and systems.

    •Educate employees on methods to ensure project continuity and completeness.

    •Develop detailed task lists and work effort assessments.

    •Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players and team members.

    •Oversee schedules, and risk management plans, and provide serious deviation warnings hindering project results.

    •Develop WBS for each activity group and develop a schedule based on the above.

    •Track all subcontract schedule performance to ensure that subcontractors meet the approved schedule.

    •Identify changes in work scope in the project plan.

    •Ensure to take appropriate planning measures with all clients to reassess, renegotiate, and amend the scope of work responsibilities, proposals, contracts, and budgets.

    •Alert project management team, on when schedule recovery is required and what type of schedule compression tool to use.

    •Develop a list of activities on the schedule critical path for tracking and reporting.

    •Provide subcontract schedule of works for tenders

    •Ensure to convey required project data and information to project teams.

    •Prepare and present regular internal and external project reports for management.

    •Evaluate and analyze team risks and issues compromising project results and develop plans to mitigate them.

    •Lead development of baseline schedule and support Project Manager (PM) in Integrated Baseline Review (IBR).

    •Develop a system for tracking materials procurement and reporting on the impact of late procurement on the overall schedule.

     


Skills
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related field or Applied Science with a minimum of 4-8 years of relevant experience.

    •Master’s Degree, PMI-SP certification, and any other related professional
