Job Summary
To provide strategic direction to business groups within the Alternative Bank on conduct and compliance matters as well as instill the compliance culture which provides all stakeholders an assurance of business continuity and appropriate returns on investment.

Responsibilities
- Develop compliance strategies that align with the Alternative Bank’s corporate strategy and ensure these strategies are fully implemented across levels within the division
- Develop and implement, in conjunction with various stakeholders, the compliance risk policies and procedures of the AltBank.
- Ensure seamless alignment of policies and SOPs across all businesses within AltBank as well as compliance with same
- Set benchmark for policy and process compliance
- Offer compliance advisory services to ExCo on local and cross border relationships to avoid breach of due diligence procedures in business engagements
- Build and manage relationships with regulators in the financial industry
- Oversee the periodic assessments of compliance strategies, policies, and procedures as well as ensure improvements on same
- Develop risk management strategies to mitigate identified compliance risks bank-wide and ensure implementation of same
- Stay up to date with state, federal and international regulations, and inform ExCo on new developments to ensure a reflection of same in AltBank’s business operational framework.
Requirements
- A first degree or its equivalent in any discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years’ post qualification experience out of which at least 5 years must be in a senior management role in Conduct and Compliance within the Financial Services industry.
